The Weekly 22 December 2022

That’s a wrap

Firstly we wanted to thank all of our incredible clients for continuing to put their trust in us.

We feel an immense sense of privilege to live and work in this beautiful community and support you all through one of your big ticket life events! Selling, managing and leasing your homes is something we are very proud of, and we’re more than a little excited to get back into it again in 2023. Gosh, there’s been some ups and downs over the past few years – a real estate rollercoaster ride if you will – but it hasn’t stopped us from getting the best possible outcome for you. We think that comes down to doing things a little differently, stepping left when others go right, being authentic, transparent and shaking off some of those real estate cliches. So thank you for being a part of it all, salut to 2022, Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and see you all in the new year.

NB: We are taking some time off over the holidays for some much needed R&R. We’ll be OOO from Dec 22 – Jan 9 besides a few little email check-ins and by-appointment inspections.

What’s on: The NYE Edition

If you haven’t locked in your NYE plans just yet, we’ve rounded up the goods from around the local traps so you can ring in the new year in style, without endless amounts of cooking, hosting, mess or a hefty Uber home. But if you’re having a soiree at yours, we’ll be there!

The Newport is, of course, gearing up for another huge event on Dec 31. Anyone worth their NB council sticker will remember the good old Newport Arms days. Ah, the memories. Anyway, The Newport. *The* place to watch the Pittwater fireworks. It’s kid-friendly early on and they’ve got family fireworks at 9pm, and as the night dips, the Barney Cools DJs, extra large wines and chilli margaritas will work their magic on the revelry until the main event lights up the sky at midnight. Hot tip? Get there before 7pm to avoid a cover charge and try to book if you’ve got a large group.

On this side of the bends, Bar Elvina is having a NYE bash and you know it will be fun, vibey, intimate and all night. Yep, they are open until 2am so stay up and say hi to 2023 with a boutique and unique vino in hand. DJs from 7pm-1am. Here’s hoping the garden patio is open – that would be the ultimate setting for the night’s festivities.

Looking for something a little more sit down? Palm Beach institution, Barrenjoey House is hosting a 4-course dinner complete with one of their infamous cocktails on arrival. Live music will be going all evening and can you beat that vacation-vibe setting and view of Pittwater? $225 per person for the (very worthy) privilege.

Stay-cationing these holidays? Treat Sydney as though you’ve never been. We’ve got a couple of little nature day trip adventures for you and the gang to enjoy.

Wattamolla Beach. Deep in the Royal National Park, it’s a picture perfect natural wonderland. Truly, go see for yourself. There’s an emerald lagoon, waterfalls, little bushwalks to peak curiosity, clifftop ocean views and a very well-equipped picnic area for a lazy lunch under the palms. Only 1.5h from Barrenjoey road. Just saying.

Want to see Palm Beach in all its glory? Head to the West Head Lookout in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park for panoramic views of Barrenjoey Headland and that beautiful peninsula we know and love. Take your sturdy shoes, cossies and some snacks and don’t miss the Resolute Beach Loop Trail which takes you on a 6km round trip through the national park to a stunning secluded beach. Memorable.

And there you have it. Happy holidays everyone. See you in 2023.
