The time has come. Suddenly it’s December and the idea of racing into the ‘big shops’ fills many of us with dread. Kids have their lists ready, will it be more plastic? Do I have to scale the heights of a discount toy store, what about Dad? Help, no idea what to buy the guy. And then there is teenage Sally, the grandparents who say they need nothing, and you – will they realise you can’t stand another box of Lindt? Help is near. Really near….as in local.
Take the stress out of Christmas – Locally
We are so lucky to live in and around some great villages on the northern beaches. So Shores is making it easy for you with our curated Christmas Gift Guide, all sourced from beautiful local merchants. Let’s celebrate the talent we have and support our local businesses in the process with these goodies.
It’s time to spoil her
Fellas, now is not the time to skimp on your favourite human. She’s wife, mum, partner, worker bee, the CEO of the house, and so many other things. Spoil her rotten, make her feel lovely with a pair of earrings, light up the bathroom with a beautiful candle, make sure she’s got all she needs for her skin care and beach routine – and of course, a great book to enjoy this summer.

Go retro, or go outside!
As the kids slip into to summer it’s all about friends, family time, spare time, sunshine (we hope) and a bit of indulgent R&R. We admit to being a bit retro, so board games are our faves. But we can’t forget the latest rollerskates or a micro scooter for the younger ones. For the older ones or creative kids who’ve saved up this year, take a look at the GoPro or the Playstation 5 and go halves.
Couples and PlusOnes…
What to do when one is now a couple, or a PlusOne? Roll it together for a great couple gift, something for their home or apartment or something to enjoy together. Here are some local ideas.
